Is My Office MacBook Private?
Are the office MacBooks private? In most cases, they are not. There are really no office computer privacy laws that keep your info on your office macbook from being monitored at a place of employment.
If a network system and office computers are used within a company, the employer owns them and is allowed to monitor their contents. Informations that are sent internally to other co-workers or another company can be subject to being monitored by your employer. This includes emails, chaat logs, websites visited and so on.
And it is in all probability that your macbook has been installed on some moniroing software (also called mac keylogger software). All your online activities will be under supervision. This is more likely to small business. So, if you need to handle some private buisiness, we suggest you wait until your are at home or somewhere you know you are not being monitored.
